Here's a weekly list of area veterans events, although the first is month-long.

NOVEMBER

First Coast YMCA is giving free access to all military families during the entire month of November for Military Family Month. All branches are participating. Contact your local YMCA branch for more information.

Farm Share Food Distribution: 9 a.m., VA Outpatient Clinic, 1536 N. Jefferson St. Free food distribution. Food is first come, first served. Please bring bags or containers to help carry multiple bags of food. Free and open to the public while supplies last.

Meet With A Veteran Service Officer: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.Nov. 12, Charles Webb Wesconnett Regional Library, 6887 103rd St.City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department in partnership with the Jacksonville Public Library will be at the Charles Webb Wesconnett Library on the second Tuesday of each month. Veterans can come speak with a veteran service officer with no appointment necessary.
